District 4 members were invited to Knob Noster Middle School in January for a YAM preparation party. Thanks to Leesha Dunkeson for hosting the event! We had five people attend this year, but are hoping for even more next year, and plan to make it an annual event! Congratulations to District 4 teachers Bob Brock, Beth Collum, Cindy Engle, Janice Jannuzi-Thomas, Leesha Dunkeson, Marla Rohrbach, Lenore Wilson, Marla Stretz, Helen Sanders, Lori Jobe, Craig Halloran, and Sarah Willard, whose students’ work was exhibited in the YAM Capitol Exhibit.
A special congratulations to Sarah Willard and Leesha Dunkeson, whose students’ work was chosen for the President’s Choice award, in the upper elementary and middle school categories respectively.
Appproximately 400 students from 30 schools attended UCM’s Department of Art & Design High School Art Contest on Thursday, April 2. A juried exhibition in conjunction with the contest day included 156 artworks from 22 different area schools.
State Fair Community College will host its annual Art Symposium for area High School students on April 23.

Spring Art Shows

Crest Ridge High School is hosting a Spring Art Contest on Friday, April 17, for Jr. High (7 & 8) and High School students in IA and IIA schools. If you are interested in participating, contact Janet Bryan at jbryan@crs.k12.mo.us Entries will be accepted April 14-16 until 5 pm, or by arrangement.
